Of course, it’s great if you have some prior web design knowledge and understanding of what makes a well-designed website – but no worries if not!

Theory:

- Discussion of your personal goals and post-graduation hopes
- Course project and certification details
- Installing WordPress on your hosting server
- Navigating the WordPress dashboard and learning the purpose of and how to use each of its features
- All there is to know about WordPress settings
- Understanding the differences between WordPress posts and pages
- How to correctly use post categories and tags + why these can cause search engine issues if used incorrectly
- Plugins + themes and how to find + install them
- Configuring WordPress for your best results
- How to protect WordPress websites from hackers and spammers
- All students will be provided with the paid version of Elementor plugin
- Become familiar with the front-end Elementor interface, menu and settings
- How to work with sections, columns, and widgets
- How padding and margin can affect the on-page element placement
- Building header sections complete with site logo and social media icons
- Working with text and image boxes
- Adding and managing contact forms + Google map integration
- Building complete WordPress website footer sections
- Using motion effects to bring energy and movement to your designs
- Using templates for easy re-application of design elements + exporting templates from one site to another
- Ensuring full website responsiveness across all possible user devices
- How to install WooCommerce and convert your site into a functional e-shop
- Understanding every WooCommerce setting including shipping rates, tax rates, integrating payment gateways to accept credit cards and so much more
- Adding new products and their variables
- Using categories and tags like an expert
- How to set up every required e-shop page on your website
Practice:
- Join our team to create a website for a real-world client. You will work directly with a project manager and follow your client’s brief to create a new professional website for their business
- You will need to meet strict deadlines to meet and receive revisions directly from your client
- Your tutor will help you along the way and give you feedback
- Once you finish the website, it will be handed over to your client and published online
- Your tutor will grade you and you will complete our course!
- The hard work is done, time to celebrate!
